Roasted a combo of pumpkin, capsicum, eggplant, zucchini and carrot, then added the home made teriyaki sauce - recipe below - and popped back in oven to caramelise it (kinda - not sure of clever cooking word!) for about ten minutes. I tend to buy a premade spice mix to use but you could make it up yourself if you have them all on hand, just ready made obviously makes whipping together a yummy tray bake like this bad boy a little faster! If you're new to eating more  #plantbased  then spices are going to be your best mate, go buy a few

I don’t always have my s*%# together, no one does, and that’s ok

They’re strong for different reasons.

It’s important you see both.

Most days I show up give and 250% but if on the next I’m wrecked I know my strongest card is giving myself permission to step back + not have the awful, heavy feeling that I’m not DOING or BEING enough.

I don’t keep pushing to keep a facade that I can have so much going on and still keep it all together. It’s not possible to do so, yet so many of us feel we need to keep pushing ourselves despite the impact on our health.

It took a REALLY LONG TIME for me to be able to recognise this.

I’m sharing because I see / talk to so many people who are burning the candle at both ends in order to simply KEEP UP with the tremendous list of shit that needs to happen to keep their game face on. They feel pressure to do and be it all.

REMEMBER: everyone is actually running THEIR OWN RACE, the only pressure is that which you create for yourself. It’s actually YOUR CHOICE.

You don’t always need a game face on, your greatest strength is also allowing yourself to feel / be vulnerable, recognise when you just need time out to recover and also so powerful….to ask for help.

Get real + raw with yourself (more frequently than you think or want to) and understand why you’re trying to do THAT MUCH, then revisit your true values and reassess your life a little. If you don’t, the inevitable will happen – you’ll burn out too.

Do something for me today, carve out some time to check in with how much you have going on and look at how you can trim it back and create some space to switch off and rest.

If you feel like today is a great day and you’ve done that recently for yourself, then turn to others + check in – ask your friends, family, or maybe it’s someone you feel needs support but struggles to ask for it, if they are genuinely doing ok.

Sending lotsa love to those who feel like today isn’t a day they want to face + letting you know it’s ok not to have your shit together everyday. No one actually does, you are strong and wonderful no matter what, just remember to take care of you.
