400ml almond milk
3 tablespoons raw cacao powder
2 teaspoons maple or rice malt syrup (opt: honey but use less)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon slippery elm powder (optional)
Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan and whisk together.
Place over low heat and warm for 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and serve topped with a dusting of cinnamon.
