  • I often share Jets lunchbox on my stories and get
1 day ago by brownpapernutrition I often share Jet’s lunchbox on my stories and get such amazing feedback and thanks from parents so if you need inspiration (don’t we all?!?!?) then have a look on my stories reel under LUNCHBOX. This was Jet’s lunchbox today - simple ingredients made delicious and abundant in quality nutrition to keep up with his growing body and insatiable lil dude appetite! • BERRY BANANA CRUMBLE MUESLI BARS I think like all parents
6 days ago by brownpapernutrition BERRY BANANA CRUMBLE MUESLI BARS... I think like all parents I’m constantly searching for new, delicious and nourishing treats to pop in the school (and my...) lunchbox and these BERRY BANANA CRUMBLE MUESLI BARS totally hit the spot. They’re a great source of protein with both eggs and quinoa flakes in the mix, the yummiest balance of sweet from fruits and some honey or maple, and rich in fibre and healthy fats from a mix of seeds, coconut flakes and olive oil. I’ve popped some options for ingredient swaps in the recipe if you don’t have these on hand too.

FAST FRIENDLY SALMON AND CORIANDER FISH CAKES

RECIPE : Lee Holmes, 'Fast Your Way To Wellness'  Perfect for fast days and well beyond, these Salmon and Coriander Fish Cakes are a winning combo of protein and taste.   Supercharged Tip: Try to select sustainable wild-caught salmon, as farmed salmon isn’t fed the same diet, giving it a less favourable fatty-acid profile. SALMON AND CORIANDER FISH CAKES  Makes...

CHARRED CAULIFLOWER AND SESAME SALAD

WORDS AND RECIPE: EVIE MORTON www.evieandginger.com  Cauliflower must be the most versatile vegetable ever. It can be mash, rice - sushi even! - fries and oh wait, 'bbq wings'! Yes, it's the best. I've charred it up here in a simple salad with plenty of sesame flavour. Such a good combination. If you're like me then...

Another sneak peek into Seasons to Share this week with a recipe from the Boy's Lunch - BEETROOT BUCKWHEAT SALAD. Buckwheat and beetroots have wonderful grounding properties - they nourish and balance - which is something I love about this salad. It’s great as is, for a filling lunch, or you can serve it with protein such as a...

FIBRE PLUS : CAROB PISTACHIO PRUNE BARS

Growing up mum had this thing about giving my sisters and I carob buttons instead of letting us have chocolate. SYDNEY WALKS : MANLY DAM

Back into nature with some local Sydney hikes, less challenging than those in the Blue Mountains of late and this time just a few minutes away from our doorstep. The bush surrounding Manly Dam is a special place that includes remnants of Aboriginal camps and luckily for us a range of hiking trails for all ages and...

COOKING WITH FERMENTED FOODS : MISO EGGPLANT

When people (insert 'nutritionists') say the word 'fermented' it doesn't really conjure up desirable comfort foods for people. Yet, fermented foods are some of the most delicious about town and depending on how you use them can be anything from a simple addition to amp up the nutrition on your plate or be the focal...
