3 deliciously wholesome, gut loving breakfasts to kick your day off well.
My fig and orange bircher, mega greens smoothie and seed granola with yoghurt and baked pear.
Easily made in advance too so you’re not rushing through the morning forgetting about breakfast. I’ve incorporated a bunch of beautiful ingredients to support your energy throughout the day and fuel your gut – fibre to boot, vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds and @activiaaustralia probiotic-rich, no added sugar, yoghurt, which is a staple in our fridge.
I’ve been loving these types of brekky options with the boost of probiotics from Activia probiotic yoghurt each day for the past month as part of the Activia 28-Day Gut Challenge and felt the benefits of much more sustained energy throughout the day and improved digestion.

FIG AND ORANGE BIRCHER
Serves 3-4 / Vegetarian
1 1/2 cups rolled oats
1/4 cup shredded coconut, unsweetened
2 tablespoons chia seeds
2 tablespoons hemp seeds
1/2 cup sultanas
1/2 cup ACTIVITA PROBIOTIC RICH, no added sugar, VANILLA YOGHURT
1 teaspoons finely grated orange zest
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups boiling water
To serve: fresh figs, orange segments, chopped almonds, additional ACTIVIA PROBIOTIC RICH, no added sugar, YOGHURT
Combine rolled oats, coconut, chia, hemp and sultanas in a bowl and mix. Add Vanilla ACTIVIA PROBIOTIC RICH, no added sugar, YOGHURT, orange zest, vanilla and boiling water and mix. Add cinnamon if desired. Cover and place in fridge overnight. Serve for breakfast with a scoop of yoghurt, followed by the bircher and topped with fresh figs, orange and chopped almonds.
SEED GRANOLA WITH BAKED PEAR AND YOGHURT
Granola serves 10-12
Gluten free /Vegetarian
2 cups buckwheat groats
2 cups flaked coconut, unsweetened
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup golden linseeds
1/2 cup raw cashews, roughly chopped
1/4 cup pepitas
1/4 cup almonds, roughly chopped
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
3 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoons maple syrup
To serve 1:
1 baked pear or seasonal baked fruit of choice
1x 125g tub ACTIVIA PROBITOIC RICH, no added sugar, + FIBRE PEACH YOGHURT
1/2 cup Seed Granola
Heat oven to 170C and line a large baking tray with greaseproof paper. In a large mixing bowl add buckwheat groats, flaked coconut, sunflower seeds, golden linseeds, raw cashews, pepitas and almonds and mix. Whisk together melted coconut oil, vanilla and maple syrup, then pour over dry ingredients and mix. Spread evenly over the baking tray, place in oven to bake for 10 minutes then toss and bake a further 16-20 minutes. Allow to cool completely on tray. When ready to eat, spread ACTIVITA, PROBIOTIC RICH, no added sugar, + FIBRE PEACH YOGHURT around a bowl, top with baked pear and sprinkle granola over the top.

1 1/2 cups water
1/2 cup ice
2x 125g tubs ACTIVIA PROBIOTIC RICH, no added sugar, + FIBRE BLUEBERRY YOGHURT
50-75g frozen spinach or 3-4 frozen spinach portions
50g frozen cauilflower or 2 medium frozen florets
50g frozen zucchini or about 3-4 pieces frozen zucchini
1 1/2 frozen bananas
2 medjool dates
2 tablespoons hemp seeds
Place all ingredients in a blender and blitz until smooth. Enjoy some today and some tomorrow!
