
9 HEALTHY TREATS FOR MOTHER’S DAY
I love a little treat on Mother’s Day, well most days, and my mum does too. Our favourites…Peanut Butter Fudge, Raw Brownies and Cacao Nut Balls – unreal, but there are plenty in the bank here on Brown Paper and so we’ve bundled them all together below for you to enjoy. RAW BROWNIES
Base:
1 cup walnuts
1 cup medjool dates, pitted
4 tbsp raw cacao powder
Topping:
4 tbsp raw coconut oil – melted
1 tbsp raw organic honey
1 tbsp raw cacao powder (extra)
Grind nuts to a fine crumb in food processor. Add dates, 4tbsp cacao, and process until slightly sticky and uniform in texture. Line a small square dish or loaf tin with baking paper and press mixture in firmly. For the topping, whisk together coconut oil, honey and cacao until smooth, if mixture too thick or gluggy add a few drops of water. Add extra crushed walnuts to top if desired. Spread evenly over the top of the brownie and place in fridge or freezer to set at least 1 hour.
