NUTRITION HIGHLIGHT : CAULIFLOWER

Cauliflower is a beautifully diverse vegetable that works itself into so many of our meals.  It contains contains a powerful sulfur compound, sulforane, shown to:

  • slow tumor growth in cancer
  • improve blood pressure
  • improve kidney function
  • support both phase 1 and phase 2 liver detox.

Aim to incorporate the humble cauli by:

  • roasting with cinnamon, cumin and sea salt
  • blitzing raw for cauli ‘rice’ with a stir-fry
  • steaming or pureeing

Whole Roasted Cauliflower

Preheat oven to 200c, halve cauliflower, drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt. Roast on greaseproof paper for 45-55 minutes or until golden.
