A few lessons motherhood has taught me…

A few lessons being a mum has taught me (and I am still learning more every single day…)
1. You can fit so much more into life than you ever thought. Sure it’s chaotic and there is NO SUCH THING as balance, but it all works out 🤪
2. You can survive on v v v little sleep 😴
3. Caffeine is in fact a life source . ☕️
4. You too need help, support and looking after – don’t be afraid to ask for it 🙏
5. Self care is vital – you don’t have to spend hours on it, a ritual like a snug robe, cup of tea and some hand cream at the close of the day is a small act just for you 🙂
6. Children are incredible teachers – want to learn how to have some boundaries and the ability to say no to a few things? Hang with a toddler 👶 😂 #no!
7. You’ll crave time to yourself but when you have it, it’s rare you’ll stop thinking about your family 💕
8. Don’t ever be mislead to thinking food is solely yours ever again. Your meal is a free for all – words like “hot” and “spicy” are necessary for ice cream… until your kids become too savvy 🍨
9. Being a mum can be a hard, exhausting and selfless role, but it’s also without a doubt the GREATEST AND MOST FULFILLING role you’ll ever take on in your life

Jacqueline is an Accredited Nutritional Medicine Practitioner specialising in family and early childhood nutrition and gut health. She writes for several media publications, hosts a regular nutrition segment on Channel 7 and in 2016 published her first book, "Seasons to Share" (Murdoch Books). Jacqueline is passionate about working with corporations and brands to support and educate their community and audience and is currently a media spokesperson and ambassador for Remedy Drinks, Eimele Australia, Woolworths, Kitchenaid and Nutrition Director at Bondi Bubs Wholefoods. She is mum to Jet and outside her working hours you'll find her with her family in the surf, on the beach, or out and about in nature.
